Random Nerdy Stuff!
Well, I decided to pick up and dust off the blog tonight. Yeah, it's been a long time since I have posted anything. Wow, it has almost been a month. Sorry blog, I have been neglectful. Not too much has been going on the past few weeks. All has been well. Jam's birthday came and went and Valentines Day was this past Saturday and we had a nice weekend. Jam bought me Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories for V-day and we picked up Dance Dance Revolution X at Toys R Us since it is now only $20. The DDR games are a lot of fun. Good exercise and fun for parties. The PS2 is still holding on but it looks like for me it's time has almost come to an end. There are one or two older games I may still pick up for it and only one upcoming game, Tomb Raider Underworld, that I would like to get. Tomb Raider Underworld is also available on and already out for PS3 so I may or may not just wait and get it for that. I don't have a PS3 yet but hope to get one sometime. I'm in no rush but I would like to maybe get by this time next year. That's when God of War III is slated to be released. The first two games in the series were some of the best on the PS2 I just saw a new trailer for it. Here it is below.
Another game trailer which I just saw is for the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Smash-Up. My friend, Mychal and I were just talking about how much we used to love to play the TMNT fighting game on the SNES back when we were kids so I thought it was ironic that I just came upon this. The trailer says it's from the makers of Super Smash Bros Brawl. too which is enough for me to wanna play it right now. I think this one is for the Wii only.
Another Wii game which I read about is Boom Blox Party Bash, the sequel to Boom Blox. Boom Blox is one of the best Wii games available. It's a puzzle game by EA and executive produced by Steven Spielburg. The game is one of the most fun puzzle games ever made and one of the best to take advantage of the Wii's motion controls. I can't wait to check out the sequel.
My last bit of nerdy news is that there is a new X-Men comic series starting this summer titled X-Men Forever. Chris Claremont started writing X-Men volume 2 back in 1991 but only wrote the first 3 issues before going on to other things. The series has since continued on with various writers and is up to 220 and some odd issues. X-Men Forever is going to pick up right where Claremont left off in 1991 and almost be a What If sort of series where everything in it exists away from the rest of the Marvel comics. So everything we know doesn't matter because this will be it's own self contained Universe. I can't wait for this. Those comics back in the early 90's is what first got me interested so I can't wait to see how this will be. I mentioned back in an older post last summer that there was a door poster of the inside cover poster of Chris Claremont's first issue of X-Men volume 2 which was done by artist Jim Lee. I said how I had seen the poster once and did not have the money to buy it but wished that I had. They are going to re-release the door poster this summer as well. I am definitely going to pick one up this time around. Nostalgia overload!
