What a day! At least Kitty didn't die, maybe.

What a day. Evan has had a cold and a bad cough for a few days now. When Evan gets sick, the cats, especially Cleo, get upset that they are not getting as much attention and do "bad" things. So someone was nice enough to pee and poop on the couch. Easy to clean up but it takes days to get the cat pee smell out of furniture, something I have learned since having a baby in the house. This was the third strike so Cleo is now banished to the basement at night for good. On top of that, Jam is getting the cold now too, which means I am destined to get it eventually. I hope it comes and goes for everyone quickly. Oh, and there are ants in the kitchen again. It never ends.

Today the final issue of Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men finally came out. Giant Size Astonishing X-Men was a decent read, a nice ending to Whedon's work. I may dig up all of the issues and read them at once since there were many delays along the way. As far as I know, Joss has his hand in 4 or 5 different comics right now and is working on another television show. It was cool how many of the heroes of the marvel universe were involved in the final issue, trying to save Kitty Pryde who was stuck in the giant "bullet" which was launched towards Earth. Kitty saved Earth by using her phasing power to phase the "bullet" through the earth but since it was unstoppable, it kept on going, too fast to catch, with Kitty trapped inside of it. Though we do not know if she is dead, she is, as the last page says, "GONE". A very good read for X-men fans. Check it out.

I need to blog more...

Again, it has been many days since I have been blogging. I really should set time aside every other day or so. That is my new goal starting in June, a blog entry every other day or so. I should be able to do that, especially during the week during my "lunch" break at work. To hold you over though, I figured I would do one today. I added a new blog to my favorites list. Joe, who works at Comix Connection has a very nice blog that I checked out for the first time today. Look for more updates to my blog soon.

Two weekends ago was Jamie's cousin Sean's wedding. Sean and Brooke's wedding was a lot of fun. There are a few pictures of it on Evan's blog. This past weekend was a three day weekend for us because of the Memorial Day holiday. It was just a nice weekend to stay home and chill. Mom and dad were over on Sunday. We made them dinner since Mom's birthday was Friday. Evan had a cold all weekend so we didn't do much. Did some things around the house and played some Mario Kart Wii. I also finished reading The Nymphos of Rocky Flats, a novel by Mario Acevedo.

"The first and only vampire book to be declassified by the federal government . . .

Felix Gomez went to Iraq a soldier. He came back a vampire. Now he finds himself pulled into a web of intrigue when an old friend prompts him to investigate an outbreak of nymphomania at the secret government facilities in Rocky Flats. He'll find out the cause of all these horny women or die trying! But first he must contend with shadowy government agents, Eastern European vampire hunters, and women who just want his body . . .

Skewering sexual myths, conspiracy fables, and government bureaucracy, The Nymphos of Rocky Flats reveals the bizarre world of the undead with a humorous slant and a fresh twist."

Check it out if you are a fan of scifi and or vampire stories. I'd describe it as a cross between Moonlight and X-Files. Speaking of Moonlight, the show was cancelled by CBS. They always cancel good shows and keep the crappy sitcoms and reality shows. I honestly thought about not watching Heroes when it premiered because I didn't want to be disappointed if I liked it and it got cancelled soon after. Luckily for fans of the show, that was not the case.

Anyway, I feel like I am babbling now. Hope everyone is having a good week.

27 Days Later

Hey, remember that blog that I used to post. It's been a long time since I have added a new post. No real reason, just have been busy I guess. Since my last post a lot has happened. I turned 30 and Jamie threw me an awesome birthday party. A lot of our friends were there and it was just a lot of fun. I finally got my Wii hooked up online (thanks to Mychal for buying me a wireless router) and we bought Mario Kart Wii and have been playing that quite a bit. It is a lot of fun. I highly recommend it to Wii owners. I have not been playing much Smash Bros Brawl. I am looking forward to trying out the online features to that too.

I hung out with my best bud, Nudie Mike the following weekend. I took the Wii to his place (he is a Smash Bros fan as well) and we played and went out for dinner and had a good time.

Lets see, what else. We had a yard sale. I had never had a yard sale so I didn't know what to expect. It was kinda fun. We made about $120. It's funny because things we thought would sell did not and things we didn't think would sell actually did.

Last weekend was Mothers Day. A belated Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers out there. We kept our low key and just spent our whole weekend together as a family with nothing planned but being together. It was a nice weekend.

That pretty much covers what I have been up to for the past few weeks since the last post. Plan on seeing a lot of posts soon including the long overdue movie review #2, tv show news, and other random stuff.

Here is the trailer for the X-Files I Want To Believe movie coming in July. It was posted online just the other day. Enjoy.
