Hardware Wars

I remember the first time I ever saw this. Some friends and I went to see Empire Strikes Back at the Senator Theatre in Baltimore when the trilogy was re-released as the "special edition". They played this before the feature. It's one of those sostupiditsfunny things. Enjoy!

Root, root, root for the home team!

Though it is still very early in the 2008 MLB season, the Baltimore Orioles are doing great. They lost to Tampa Bay in their March 31st opener but have won every game so far in April. So the O's are going into a double header against Texas (since the Wednesday game was rained out) with a 6-1 record. Join me and root, root, root for the home team.

For fans of the local Harrisburg Senators, they are currently 4-2.

All 35!

I am still really in to Super Smash Bros Brawl. I recently completed the Subspace Emissary adventure mode which is a great addition to the series. Nintendo could easily spin that into it's own series if they wanted to. It's a nice throwback to old school platforming with amazing but not lengthy cutscenes. Today I unlocked the last few playable characters for the game. Now that I have all 35 playable characters unlocked, I am eager to start some online play. I guess I better go and buy a wireless router already. Until I do, I will be playing my way through to unlock more stages, trophies, stickers, modes, etc. It's amazing how much there is to do in this game.

Mario Kart Wii is coming out on April 27th and Jamie is a huge fan of the Mario Kart series so I have a feeling that once we get it, it will be in the Wii as much if not more than Super Smash Bros Brawl. Racing games are ones that we mostly play together. Mario Kart Wii has online play too which should be fun.

Two recent favs on DVD in July

Two shows that I liked from recent years are finally coming to DVD. Both are based on comic book series' of the same names. The complete series sets for Birds of Prey and Witchblade are both set for release in July. Birds of Prey ran for one season in 2002. Witchblade premiered with a tv movie in 2000 and ran for two seasons from 2001 to 2002. If you are a fan of scifi or good comic book style action then you should check these out. Highly recommended!

Battlestar Galactica Returns this frakkin Friday!

Battlestar Galactica returns this Friday night with the season premiere of the fourth and final season of the series. This is one of the best shows of the last few years. It would probably be a hard show to start watching now but I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially fans of science fiction. I actually started watching it over this past summer through netflix and a season three marathon on SciFi Channel and was hooked from the start. SciFi Channel is actually running a marathon of all three previous seasons (minus the miniseries and a few episodes due to time) each day this week and last season's two part finale is on again just before this season's premiere which is at 10pm. The last five episodes of last season are also on Hulu.com if you would rather watch online (free) at your own leisure.

Below are a couple of fun movies. The first is an 8 minute recap of the miniseries and first three seasons. The second is the top ten reasons to watch the new season. Enjoy!
