Tis The Season
It's been a while since I have been on the blog. Tis the season to be very busy. I'm not complaining though. I really like Christmas. In a few hours we will be headed to Grandma and Grandpas house for a few days and then back here Monday for Christmas Eve at Meme and Pop Pops house with the rest of the family. I am excited to be going to the Christies for a few days and excited to be spending Christmas Eve with my parents, sibs, nephews, etc. It's been a while since we have spent Christmas Eve there. This is Evan's first Christmas so we are going to be having Christmas morning at our house, again the first time in a while. We are so eagerly awaiting Evan's reaction to everything. It is going to be a blast.Anyway, I am going to make this short and sweet. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa brings you what you wanted. Everyone have fun and be safe and I'll do my best to get back here for one last post in 2007! Happy Holidays! -Special C

Why you gotta waste my flava?
Here is something I found on the net that all of the guys from Millersville will appreciate. Remember when we were thinking of making these for ourselves? Well, I found someone selling these on cafepress. For those of you who have no idea what Loveburger is, let me explain. Loveburger is a fictitious band from the movie Can't Hardly Wait. Can't Hardly Wait was one of the better late 90s teen movies. A bunch of us watched Can't Hardly Wait and Empire Records a few times one semester and used to quote the heck out of them and a few nicknames popped up from the movies. Our freshman buddy, Mark got the nickname Warren who was a younger guy in Empire Records who held up the record store and later begged to be an honorary employee. Can't Hardly Wait had this character who called himself Special K played by Seth Green. Special K was on of our favorite characters in the movie. Mark, er... I mean Warren nicknamed me Special C because of Special K. The nickname has stuck since then. Thought that would be a cool story to tell. Yeah,... we're a bunch of dorks. -Special C
It's December already?
Hey everyone, I am back to the blog. I think I am just going to have to commit to doing this a few times a month instead of more often. If there are exciting things going on I will update more often but for now it is business as usual. The image to the left is in honor of the final episode of Heroes for the year. Heroes is a good show. It was excellent last year (it's first) and was pretty good this year too (though it started off slow). I came across this picture a few weeks ago and just think it is funny for some reason. I guess the WGA strike is going to be ending almost all tv shows here soon. Other than crap like reality shows and game shows. So we'll have stuff like American Idol, American Band, American Mime-off, Don't Forget the Lyrics, Don't Drop the Soap, Don't Wiz on the Electric Fence blah blah blah. Someone let me know when something good is on tv so I can turn it on. For now I'm going to read some books and watch some movies. I'll be getting my moneys worth from Netflix for a while. Thanksgiving was nice. Grandma Christie was in for a few days. Evan was thrilled. We went shopping on Black Friday (really) and got a few things. We got some great deals on clothes for Evan. I got two movies. 300 for $6 and Goonies (one of the best things to come out of the 80s) for $4. The following week I got all of my Christmas shopping done. Now all I have to do is wrap. Oh how I hate to wrap.
This weekend is a Christmas party at Sam and Jim's house. Can NOT wait. Have not been to Maryland in a while. I hope a lot of old friends are there. Maybe I'll get to stop to or from and see my sister and brother-in-law and meet my new nephew, Roman. If not, I'll see them soon. Tis the Season. Hope everyone is having a good (cold and windy) December so far. -Special C
