A Super deal on what sounds like a Super game

Hey all! Just a quick blog entry here. Not a whole lot has been going on in the world of myself, Jamie, and Evan since the last post. Busy busy. I just wanted to pass on a good deal for Wii owners looking to pick up Super Mario Galaxy. The game is getting rave reviews by the way. Best on the Wii so far. Anyway, here is the deal I came across in the Sunday paper. Toys R Us is giving out $25 dollar gift cards with the purchase of the game this week. That's a pretty good deal. Buy a game for $50 and get a $25 dollar gift card to use later. If you are getting the game anyway, you would be crazy not to get it at Toys R Us. Jamie (aka Santa) went to the store after dinner to pick up the game for myself for Xmas and got the $25 gift card for us to spend on more stuff for Evan for Xmas. Heck of a deal. -Special C

Daddy's Little Local Celebrity

The publisher where my wife works produces a magazine called Central Penn Parent. About a month ago I took Evan to the big city of Harrisburg (which is not big at all) to participate in the magazine photo shoot with about 10 other kids. Evan had a lot of fun with his friend Brodie and all of the other kids at the shoot. The magazine has just been printed and is on stands now. Who is that kid on the cover? That's my boy! This picture of Evan was chosen for the cover. Cool huh? If you ask him nicely, maybe he will autograph your copy. You'll just have to get past the paparazzi. Oh the price of fame. -Special C

Happy Halloween!

October 31st is the day of my favorite holiday. It has been a while since I have updated this blog. Sorry to the few readers, or reader! Anyway, happy Halloween to whomever is reading this. It really doesn't feel like Halloween though. I guess that is in part to how they do Trick-Or-Treating around here. It is always an assigned day for a few assigned hours. So it was actually last Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. What is up with that? When I was a kid, it was always on Halloween from whatever time kids went out until whatever time kids went home. Is it like that everywhere now?

A lot has been going on since the last blog entry. Two weekends ago was Billtoberfest 2007, our one friend Bill's annual party. Last weekend was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have any plans so we reveled in that fact and more or less stayed in all weekend. It being the weekend before Halloween, there were some marathons of cool shows on like A Haunting and Scariest Places On Earth. Mom and Dad come over for dinner, wine, and Scrabble which is always fun. It's been a while since we have done that.

On Monday I got some great news. Roman Christopher was born. My sister had her first baby. I can not wait to meet him. I'll probably wait until mom and baby come home and get settled at home for a week or so.

Random news here. They have officially announced a new X-Files movie. X-Files is my favorite tv show of all time. I am really excited to see Mulder and Scully again, especially on the big screen. Also there is going to be a third Underworld movie, this one is going to be a prequel so I don't know if Kate Beckinsale will be in it but much of the supporting cast of the original movie but who were not in the second will be in this one. Very cool! I would like to see a true sequel too though!

Well again, Happy Halloween. If anyone saw any of the live Ghost Hunters show tonight, anything good happen? -Special C
