Blogging was on hiatus or something.

Finally here to update on what I have been up to. I have not posted anything substantial since before Labor Day. Sorry for that. My weekends have been busy and work has been interesting but here we go again. Labor day weekend was pretty cool. We went to Kipona festival which is an annual festival in Harrisburg. We went and played some fair games and had some good bad food. I won Evan a fish who we named Kip but he died after about an hour in his bowl at home. Not sure if I have said this before, but I have no luck with fish.

We also went to Hershey Park. We had free passes that we procrastinated using all summer and learned that going on Labor Day weekend was as good a decision as french kissing a wall socket. We wanted to check out the new boardwalk area but that was packed. So we passed on that and went to Zoo America, played some games, rode some kiddie rides, etc with Evan. It ended up being a very enjoyable day.

The following weekend was on of my best friends Mychal's wedding to Laura. Evan spent the day playing with cousin Roman at Aunt Denise's house. The drive down was horrendous. It was raining so hard because of Hurricane Hanna. I thought for sure we would have had some water in our basement when we came home but surprisingly we did not. The wedding was a lot of fun. I got to hang out with some great friends from high school who I do not see often. Jam and I enjoyed our dinner with Samantha and Jim, Brian and Eunice, Joo, Samara, and Bill. Bill was Mychal's best man and is one of the few who I consider to be my best friends. His parents were there as well and it was great to see them because I had not in about 10 years. My parents were also there which was great too. The wedding and reception were both very nice. Mychal and Laura looked great and Bill was a good best man. He holds rings well. Jam and I spent the reception catching up with everyone and rehashing some old memories. Bill swears he is going to come up for a week to visit sometime in December which will be great. I'm holding you to that one buddy. It's hard to get together with him with me now in PA and him in VA. It's even hard to get together with Mychal and he is only about an hours drive south in MD. I will get together with him more in the near future. He can hold me to that.

This past weekend was a chill weekend for us. With everything going on, we had not just had a quiet weekend at home in a while and were looking forward to it. Other than Evan catching a cold right before the weekend and I inheriting it from him by Monday morning, it was a good weekend. Did some tv and movie watching, reading, and hanging out with my two favorite people, Jam and Evan.
